Psst! We're sharing this opportunity for Broadway tickets from a friend of The Fortnightly Club, Betsy Dollinger...Dear Broadway-loving friends and family,It is the news we've all been waiting for. Broadway is back! To celebrate, I am organizing 4 separate group outings to shows in which I am involved. Save the dates, sign up now and I look forward to seeing you at a theatre soon.In related and important news regarding the coronavirus, all Broadway theatres will require audience members to show proof of vaccination upon entry and require masks to be worn except when eating and drinking in designated areas. These policies will remain in effect through the end of October, which will include our group nights at SIX and JAGGED LITTLE PILL. SIX: Tuesday, October 12th 8:00pmFrom Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an exuberant celebration of 21st century girl power! This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over. The New York Times says SIX is “pure entertainment!” and Evening Standard hails SIX as “the most uplifting new British musical I have ever had the privilege to watch.JAGGED LITTLE PILL: Wednesday, October 27th 7:30pmJoy, rage, love, heartache, strength, wisdom, catharsis, LIFE: everything we’ve been waiting and hoping to see on a Broadway stage for over a year is back, in this exhilarating, fearless new musical based on Alanis Morissette’s world-changing music. Nominated for 15 Tony Awards® (the most of any show), and a recent Grammy® winner for Best Musical Theater Album, this electrifying production about a perfectly imperfect American family “vaults the audience to its collective feet” (The Guardian). You live, you learn, you remember what it’s like to feel truly human… at JAGGED LITTLE PILL.DIANA: Thursday, November 4th 8:00pmA princess thrust onto the world stage. The tabloid media captivated by her beauty and vulnerability. The globe's most celebrated monarchy disrupted. This is the story of the most famous woman of the modern age as she struggles to endure a spotlight brighter than any the world had ever known. Leading fiercely with her heart, Princess Diana stood up for her family, her country and herself. She defied expectations, she rocked the royals and she created a legacy that will endure forever.MRS. DOUBTFIRE: Tuesday, November 30th 8:00pmDaniel Hillard, a struggling, out-of-work actor, will do anything for his kids. After losing custody in a messy divorce, he creates the kindly alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As his new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father. A hysterical and heartfelt story about holding onto your loved ones against all odds, MRS. DOUBTFIRE is the musical comedy we need right now — one that proves we’re better together.I am holding blocks of tickets for each of these shows and have received group discounts when possible.
