Dear Friends,
$4,800 was raised from the Halloween Party: Just a Little Hocus Pocus! This amount brings us a few steps closer to our goal of making significant repairs to Twin Maples (Twin Maples Wish List).
Next week, get a jump on holiday shopping! Coming up on Thursday, Nov 21 from 7-9pm is a shopping night at a new boutique in Summit called Kanibal & Co. "Shop Small, Shop Kanibal: from apparel to gifts and home goods, we have everything you need to shop for your loved ones this Holiday season!" As this is a new shop and location (in past year's we've seen our lovely friends at Chatham's Quartet), we will be interested in hearing your feedback for planning next year's holiday shopping night.
Tickets are now on sale, on the website, for the Holiday luncheon on Dec 13 from 11am to 3pm. Tickets are $60 per person, and include lunch, beverages, dessert, a special performance by the Continuo Choir, and lots of merriment! The proceeds from this event will benefit a local non-profit and our grande dame – Twin Maples.
Also, our Mitten Tree is back! Please bring a new pair of gloves or mittens to be collected at the club (donation bin will be in the front entryway) and given to a local non-profit for distribution.
Warmly,
Heather Althoff
President, The Fortnightly Club of Summit
